Burton Bradstock Village Society


FLOWER AND PRODUCE SHOW- 17th July, 2010

The Village Hall on the 18th July was a humdrum of noise and excitement as the competitors checked to see whether their entries had won a prize and to compare the entries of their competitors. Greenfingered enthusiasts entered everything from vegetables, fruit, roses,paintings and sculpture which were all scrutinised carefully by the judges before their final judgment was made. The Village Society President, Nancy Bushell congratulated all the people who had entered and thanked all the people who had organised the event especially Sandy Adderley.

Cup Winners were:-

  • Mark Munro- Louis/May Brown Cup for Fruit and Vegetables
  • Daphne Hewlett - The Bugler Cup for the best rose exhibit.
  • Jean Ayres - Cracroft Challenge Cup for the best flower other than roses.
  • Jean Ayres - The Gordon Knight Cup for the best pot plant.
  • Richard Seebohm - The Flower Arranger Trophy.
  • Audrey Hayward- Knightsmith Trophy (preserves)
  • Jill Wotherspoon - The Mallinson Cup for handicraft.
  • Carol Lumley - for the Photography Cup.
  • Joan Dady - The Millennium Trophy for the best art exhibit.
  • Mark Munro - Grove House Cup (allotments)
  • Audrey Hayward -Cookery and Home Produce Trophy
